Virtual Portfolios

In the Portfolio section you can simulate various portfolios. Starting capital, fees, deposits and redemptions are determined by you and are taken into account in the assessment of the portfolio. Securities / symbols can be added to your portfolio with drag & drop or with a symbol action, and can be removed through a sales transaction.

Create New Portfolio

▪       Select a name, the starting capital and the fees for your portfolio.

▪       Activate Group same positions in order to summarize all positions in your portfolio (in a row) which relate to the same security.

▪       Click Save.

▪       In order to create an additional portfolio, click on the arrow next to the heading Virt. Portfolio and choose the action New Portfolio.

Add Symbols to a Portfolio

▪       In the detail view of a symbol, click on the arrow button a next to the symbol name  and select the action Add to portfolio.

▪       Drag & Drop: Drag the symbol name to the Portfolio section and drop it there.

▪       In the Securities Transaction dialog, select the corresponding portfolio and enter the number, price, fees, buy date and your remarks. The entry in the Exchange rate field is used in order to convert foreign currencies into the portfolio currency (EUR).

Perform Transactions for Symbols in a Portfolio (Buy/Sell)

▪       First click  for a position within your portfolio in the portfolio overview. You should then see a summary of the respective position.

▪       Click on the buttons  or  to call up a Buy or Sell order dialog.

▪       In the Securities Transaction dialog, enter the required data like amount, price (also the exchange rate if necessary), fees, date and your remarks.

Note             A Buy transaction can also be executed by using the symbol action Add to portfolio (see above).

Different Views in Virtual Portfolios

For each virtual portfolio, four different views are available that can be called up with tabs. You can switch between active portfolios with the drop down list in the title bar.

▫       Portfolio Overview: General overview for all available portfolios. You can see an overview of current positions and key figures of the portfolio.

▫       Transactions: Overview of all transactions (buy, sell, deposit, redemption).

▫       Chart: Performance chart of the portfolio with comparison functions: You can use an index or another portfolio for comparison.

▫       Portfolio Structure: Overview of the largest positions, and the structure of your portfolio regarding currencies, sectors and security types.

Other Functions in Virtual Portfolios

In Portfolios you can perform the following actions by clicking on the arrow next to the heading Virt. Portfolio:

▫       Portfolio Settings: Here you can change transaction fees and other settings.

▫       Deposit: Here you can simulate a deposit and thereby raise the available capital in your portfolio.

▫       Redemption: Here you can simulate a redemption and thereby lower the available capital in your portfolio.

▫       Delete Portfolio:  This will delete the active portfolio.

▫       New Portfolio: This will create a new/additional portfolio.

Daily E-Mail Alerts of Portfolios

▪       Click on the link Enable e-mail notification for this portfolio on the overview page of the active portfolio.

▪       You will now receive a daily overview of your portfolio per e-mail. The time at which you receive the e-mail can be configured in the section Portfolio Notifications under Limits (see Limits / Alerts).
